Black Myth: Wukong - All Relic Perks & What They Do (2024)

Quick Links

  • How To Get Relics

Relics are a significant part of the story of Black Myth: Wukong. Collected at the end of each chapter, each Relic offers three different perks that alter your play style as the Destined One. The Yaoguai Kings drops each Relic` fought at the end of every chapter, serving as one of six tools you will need to resurrect Sun Wukong himself.

The Relics in the game represent the six senses of Buddhism: sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, and mind. Each Relic's abilities are themed around its associated sense. While the game discusses collecting six Relics, only five are available in the main game, with one secret Relic locked behind the endgame.

How To Get Relics

Collecting & Using Relics

The five main Relics are dropped by the final bosses of each of the first five chapters of Black Myth: Wukong. The first Relic, Craving Eyes, comes from Black Bear Guai, the final boss of Chapter 1. Upon collecting this Relic, you'll be able to see whether an enemy drops a Spirit upon death or not. After that comes the Yellow Wind Sage in Black Myth: Wukong, rewarding Fuming Ears after death.

While Relics typically have a passive perk, and it would make sense for Fuming Ears to have one, players have been unable to figure out what the Relic's passive is.

Yellowbrow drops Hubris Nose, the Relic connected to smell, at the end of Chapter 3. With this Relic, you can better see plants to collect for the Destined One's medicines. Envious Tongue, the fourth Relic, increases the duration of medicine in Black Myth: Wukong. You can find this Relic after defeating the Hundred-Eyed Daoist Warrior. The last Relic, Grieved Body, reduces fall damage once you've defeated Red Boy in Chapter 5.

If you complete Black Myth: Wukong with the true ending and begin New Game +, you'll start the game with the secret sixth Relic, Freed Mind, representing Sun Wukong's famous gold circlet and unlocking some of the strongest perks in the game.

While you'll pick a perk to activate upon finding a Relic, you aren't stuck with that perk forever. When you visit a shrine, choose Self-Advance, then choose to Reignite The Sparks. This opens up a Relic menu, where you can freely swap between perks at your pleasure in Black Myth: Wukong.

If you want the strongest build possible, some perks will outshine others. If you play New Game + after unlocking the true ending, you'll start with the strongest Relic possible and work back up from there.

Each Relic's perks are ordered from strongest to weakest perk, but each Relic perk can be applicable to the right build.
