Jiaoqiu Traces Overview And Priority
Whenever you pull a new character in Honkai: Star Rail, it's highly important to understand their kit and what they can bring to the battlefield, which is quite a lot of stuff when it comes to Jiaoqiu. Firstly, he can apply stacks of Ashen Roast in the following instances:
- Whenever you use his Basic Attack, Skill, or Ultimate.
- When the enemy gets a turn while the zone from his Ultimate is on the field.
This effect can stack up to five times, making the enemies take a whopping 35 percent increased DMG from all types of attacks. Moreover, when you hit the enemies with his Ultimate, they take even more Ultimate damage from other units. Finally, Jiaoqiu's Ashen Roast stacks on an enemy are considered a Burn DoT, which makes them take extra damage at the start of their turn.
Now that you know how his kit works, you can simply focus on his Talent first followed by his Ultimate. Finally, you can upgrade his Skill and completely ignore the Basic Attack since you'll never be using it. However, it's highly recommended to unlock his bonus abilities and other trace nodes whenever possible.
