How to do Victory Road puzzle? ›

In order to get through Victory Road, you need to do some old-fashioned rock pushing. The puzzles are exceedingly simple if you know what to do. Just push the boulders onto the round switches to clear the path. To get the items on the first floor, you need to push the rock so that it blocks one of the items.

Here's the fastest way through Victory Road:

Go all the way left until you reach a flight of stairs leading up to an ace trainer - take the stairs and battle them. Just above the ace trainer, you'll see two flights of stairs going up on your left - take both of them.

Locations: There is only one Moltres in Pokemon Red/Blue and Yellow and you better make sure that you catch it for your collection. You'll find it on Victory Road towards the end of the game. Use an Electric or Rock Pokémon to attack it and try to put it to sleep and lower its HP as quickly as possible.

Heal up, then drop down the ladder in the top left there to the walled-off section in the top-left of 2F. Head to the right and Moltres is just up ahead.

Head back down and under the bridge, and this time head right. Use Rock Climb to reach the area above, and fight the final trainer of the area: Dragon Tamer Clinton. He uses three pokemon two level 46 Gibles and a level 46 Gyarados. After taking him on, you can simply head north and then west out of the cave.

Head North across the bridge near and above him to get to the exit. He'll only move when you have the National Dex and the area he blocks is foggy, but you get a Double Partner named Marley for help (I just used never-miss moves and fumbled around in the fog back in Pearl).

Accepted Answer. If you read the introductory paragraph, it says you'll need Defog in the new area that opens up leading to Route 224. You won't need it on your first trip to the Pokemon League.

Each statue has a button on the front of it. You will need to press the buttons on the statues that are valued at 2, 3, 5, and 7. Once you press the buttons on these corresponding statues, the harpy statue will open up and reveal the three gold bars!

There are items that can only be accessed if you have Waterfall and Rock Smash, but to make it through you only need Surf and Strength. There is at least one waterfall in Victory Road, but I believe it's optional. Same goes for Strength, which is only used to access some optional items and a shortcut to the entrance.

Follow the directions and shoot the symbol it's showing you. Once you've done that, the symbol on the console will shift, telling you the next one in the sequence. The order you need to shoot the symbols in is random, so make sure to reference the console the first two times you fire.
